Cricket World Australia, a division of Athletic Australia Group, including Cricket World Moorabbin, cricketworldaustralia.com.au, and Cricket Warehouse Australia, is committed to providing quality cricket equipment and exceptional customer service. This policy outlines the warranty coverage, returns process, and your statutory consumer rights.


2. Warranty Coverage by Product Type


2.1 Cricket Bats

  • Warranty Period: 12 months from date of purchase
  • Covered Defects:
    • Broken handles
    • Split clefts
    • Large shoulder cracks


  • Exclusions:
    • Damage caused by yorkers (direct ball impact)
    • Normal wear and tear such as surface cracks
    • Improper preparation or maintenance
    • Excessive use of bowling machines
    • Moisture-related damage
    • Improper use not aligned with intended cricket activities
    • Bats over 12 months old or used for more than one season


2.2 Protective Gear

  • Warranty Period: 12 months
  • Covered Defects: Split seams or stitching failures


2.3 Cricket Bags

  • Warranty Period: 6 months
  • Covered Defects:
    • Split seams or stitching failures
    • Broken zippers
    • Wheel malfunctions


  • Exclusions: Damage caused by dragging bags on stairs or misuse


2.4 Cricket Footwear

  • Warranty Period: 6 months
  • Covered Defects:
    • Split seams or stitching failures
    • Spike blowouts
    • Sole separation


2.5 Helmets

  • Warranty Period: 12 months
  • Covered Features: Micro-adjustment mechanisms
  • Exclusions: Damage from cricket balls or impact injuries


3. Warranty Assessment and Repairs

  • All warranty claims are subject to manufacturer’s discretion.
  • Average turnaround time for assessment and repairs through the manufacturer is approximately 14 working days.
  • We liaise closely with manufacturers to expedite and resolve warranty claims efficiently.


4. Returns and Refunds

  • Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery for new, unused, and unprepared products in original, resalable condition.
  • Prepared cricket bats (knocked-in or treated) are non-returnable unless faulty.
  • Unused and unprepared bats may be returned or exchanged within 30 days.
  • Return shipping is the customer's responsibility unless the item is faulty, damaged, or misdescribed.
  • Proof of purchase is required for all returns and warranty claims.
  • Bulky items over 3kg are not eligible for free return shipping; return shipping costs apply.
  • Incorrect orders supplied by us will be rectified at our cost, including return shipping.

You are eligible for a full refund when:

  • The product is faulty, damaged, or not as described
  • You return an unused, unprepared item within 30 days of delivery
  • We have supplied an incorrect order
  • The product fails to meet Australian Consumer Law guarantees
  • Refunds are typically processed within 5-10 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item
  • Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
  • All returned items undergo quality inspection before refund approval
  • Valid receipt, order confirmation, or bank statement required
  • Full Refund: Available for faulty, damaged, misdescribed items, or our errors
  • Full Refund minus Return Shipping: For change-of-mind returns on eligible items
  • Partial Refund: May apply if returned items show signs of use or damage


5. Australian Consumer Law (ACL) Rights


This warranty and returns policy is provided in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. 6. Proof of Purchase


A valid proof of purchase (receipt, order confirmation, or bank statement) is required to process all warranty, return, or exchange requests.


7. Unauthorised Returns


Products returned without prior approval or outside this policy's terms may be refused and sent back at your expense.


8. Limitation of Liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cricket World Australia and associated entities exclude liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from product use or misuse.
  • Our total liability is limited to the product’s original purchase price.

We reserve the right to amend this Warranty & Returns Policy at any time. Updated versions will be posted online with the effective date. Continued use of our products or services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.


10. International Customers


International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and return shipping costs unless the item is faulty or misdescribed. Warranty and returns processing times may vary.


11. Exclusions

  • Some items, including hygiene products (mouthguards, undergarments) and “final sale” or clearance items, may be non-returnable except as required by law.
